PRTG Network Monitor. Customizable Live, 2-Day, 30-Day, and 1-year graphs. Monitor connectivity, ping time, packet loss. You can even keep tabs on download speeds. It's pretty pimp!
I would also recommend "WFilter Free", excellent freeware to monitor and filter internet activities.
